Where we turn up next
A few times a year we pack the brew bar, the dallah and the team into a van and set up somewhere that is not a mall. Festivals, farms, markets, the odd majlis with a view.
Hatta, for the winter
Two weekends in the hills with the full qahwa service, the date pudding, and a brew bar running from sunrise. Bring a jacket — the mornings are colder than Dubai thinks they are.

Our home room. Terracotta arches, the jar wall lit from behind, and one long banquette that fills up from the middle out.
